Terms and conditions
The contract between you and the platform: how an order is concluded, what you undertake, and what we undertake.
Last updated: September 20, 2026
This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Arabic text is the binding version; where the two differ, the Arabic governs.
This document, together with the policies linked from it, constitutes the electronic contract between you and Shu Abalak under Article (11) of Decree-Law No. (21) of 2025 on Electronic Commerce (قرار بقانون رقم (21) لسنة 2025م بشأن التجارة الإلكترونية).
1. Acceptance of the terms
By using the Shu Abalak apps or website, or by completing any order through them, you confirm that you have read these terms and agreed to them. If you do not agree to all of them, do not use the service.
You must have full legal capacity to enter into contracts. If you are under eighteen, you may not use the platform except under the supervision and responsibility of your guardian.
2. Your account
- You undertake to enter accurate and complete details, and that the phone number and address you enter are yours or that you are authorised to use them.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use.
- We may suspend or delete any account used for fraud, for abusing offers and coupons, to harm businesses, drivers or other users, or in breach of these terms.
- You may delete your account and your data at any time. See the data deletion policy.
3. Stages of an order
The platform follows the stages set out in Article (10) of the law, in this order:
- The offer: the product or service is displayed with its characteristics and its price inclusive of taxes, the delivery fee, the payment method, and the validity period of the offer where one applies.
- Review: the full details of the order are shown to you before confirmation — items, quantities, specifications, the itemised price and the final total.
- Amendment or cancellation: you may amend or cancel the order before pressing confirm, at no charge.
- Confirmation: pressing confirm concludes the electronic contract.
4. Prices and amounts
- All prices are in Israeli shekels (₪) and include all taxes due, under Article (9/e) of the law.
- Product prices are set by the business itself and may change. The binding price is the one shown to you at the moment you confirm the order.
- The delivery fee is calculated by area and shown to you before confirmation. See the delivery policy.
- The total shown at confirmation is the amount you will pay. No charge is added after confirmation without your express agreement — including where an order needs a larger vehicle, in which case the difference in the fee is put to you and you agree to it before anything proceeds.
5. Coupons and offers
- Every coupon has its own conditions: a minimum order value, a validity period, a number of uses, and it may be limited to one section or one business. These conditions are shown with the coupon.
- A coupon is personal and may not be transferred or exchanged for money.
- We may withdraw any coupon used fraudulently or across multiple accounts belonging to one person, and cancel the orders associated with it.
6. Availability
The platform does not accept, and a business may not accept, an order for a product or service that is not available — under Article (12/5) of the law. If an item turns out to be out of stock after confirmation, we tell you immediately and you choose between replacing it or cancelling it and having its value refunded in full, with nothing deducted.
7. Cancellation
- Before the business accepts the order: you can cancel directly and free of charge.
- After the business accepts and preparation begins: self-service cancellation may not be available, particularly for restaurant orders prepared to order. Contact us and we will deal with each case on its own facts.
- Your right to refuse at delivery is never lost where the product does not match what was agreed or where it is late. See the returns and exchanges policy.
8. The invoice
An itemised electronic invoice is issued to you for every order, containing — under Article (12/3) — the name of the online store and its registration number in the register, a description of the product or service, its agreed price and quantity, the total value, and the date of issue. It is sent to your email address if you have registered one, and remains available inside the app.
9. Your undertakings
You undertake not to use the platform for:
- Providing false information, impersonating another person, or creating fake accounts.
- Malicious orders or repeatedly refusing delivery without legitimate reason.
- Verbal abuse of, or threats towards, drivers, business staff or the support team.
- Attempting to breach the platform or gain unauthorised access to its data or its users' data, or scraping its content automatically.
10. Intellectual property
The name Shu Abalak, its logo, and the design and content of its apps and website are owned by the platform and protected by law. They may not be copied or used without written permission.
11. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms. Any amendment is published on this page with the date it was last updated, and you are notified of material changes inside the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after an amendment takes effect counts as acceptance of it. No amendment applies retroactively to an order already confirmed.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Palestine, and in particular Decree-Law No. (21) of 2025 on Electronic Commerce, the Consumer Protection Law No. (21) of 2005, the Electronic Transactions Law, and the Commercial Law in force — under Article (24) of the Electronic Commerce Decree-Law.
The competent Palestinian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to your right to complain to the Ministry of National Economy under Article (19) of the law.
