Deleting your account and your data

This document completes the privacy policy and complies with Article (18) of Decree-Law No. (21) of 2025 on Electronic Commerce (قرار بقانون رقم (21) لسنة 2025م بشأن التجارة الإلكترونية).

From the app directly

1. Open the Shu Abalak app.
2. Go to My account.
3. Choose Delete account.
4. Confirm.

Deletion begins immediately and completes within a maximum of 30 days.

By message

If you cannot reach the app, send a request from the email address registered with us to support@shoabalak.com with the subject "Account deletion request", giving the phone number linked to the account. We may ask you for something proving the account is yours — that is for your protection, since nobody but you may delete your account.

What is deleted

• Your name, phone number, email address and picture.
• Your saved addresses.
• Your device identifiers for notifications.
• Your ratings and comments, or their permanent separation from your identity.
• The link between your account and any Google or Facebook account.

What remains, and why

Order and invoice records remain for the period required by the tax and commercial legislation in force. That is a legal obligation we cannot set aside, and it has nothing to do with marketing: these records are separated from your identifying data as far as the law allows, and are not used to contact you after deletion.

Aggregated data that cannot identify you also remains, as do technical security logs, for as long as is needed to protect the platform.

Before you delete

• Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will not be able to recover your order history, your addresses or your ratings.
• If you have an order still outstanding, complete it or cancel it first.
• If you owe or are owed money, settle it before deleting.

Instead of deleting

If it is only the messages that bother you, you can switch off promotional messages alone from your account settings and keep your account and history. Order notifications will keep reaching you, because they are part of fulfilling your orders.
